Yet, there is more to the hippie culture than long skirts, beaded jewelry, and rock and roll. There are nuances of a culture and style that become part of the individual’s heart and soul and are hard to pack away when society demands you trade in your favorite wool sweater for a suit. (You know, the handmade sweater from El Salvador that you wore while backpacking through Eastern Europe.) It’s safe to say, every hippie has had at least one hemp necklace they loath to remove for admiration of that incredible handmade glass bead those fibers held in place. This series was designed specifically because of shear stubborn refusal to pack away those beads. There are currently 30 necklaces, many with matching sets, in this collection.
